About us
Caroline Monson is the founder of Kitty’s Needlepoint, a modern needlepoint shop and creative gathering space in Alpine, Utah.
Creativity has always been part of Caroline’s world. She studied Fashion and Textile Design at NC State University before working in the apparel industry with brands including baggallini, Kroger, and Under Armour. She later transitioned into marketing in the tech industry before leaving the corporate world to build something of her own.
Caroline first picked up needlepoint nine years ago, shortly after her son was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Looking for a creative outlet during a new season of motherhood, she visited Chapel Hill Needlepoint and chose her first canvas: a pointe shoe. One project quickly turned into a lasting love for the craft. Today, her son is nine, her daughter is six, and both are beginning to learn to stitch themselves.
Kitty’s grew from Caroline’s desire to create a needlepoint shop that felt fresh, inspiring, and a little unexpected. She envisioned a beautifully curated space where longtime stitchers would feel at home, beginners would feel welcome, and people would genuinely want to spend time.
Today, Kitty’s brings that vision to life through a curated collection of canvases, fibers, tools, and accessories, along with classes, stitch nights, collaborations, and events that bring people together.
Come stitch with us. ♡
