Meet Caroline

Caroline (aka Kitty) is the founder of Kitty's Needlepoint, a modern needlepoint shop and creative gathering space in Alpine, Utah, created around a love of beautiful things, creativity, and community.

Creativity has always been part of Caroline's world. She studied Fashion and Textile Design at NC State University before building a career across the apparel industry, working with brands including baggallini, Kroger, and Under Armour. She later transitioned into marketing in the tech industry, but the pull to create something of her own never really went away.

Caroline first picked up needlepoint nine years ago, shortly after her son was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Looking for a creative outlet during that brand-new season of motherhood, she walked into Chapel Hill Needlepoint and picked out her very first canvas: a pointe shoe.

That first project sparked a love for the craft that has followed her through different seasons of motherhood, work, and life. Needlepoint became a reason to slow down, put down her phone, and make something beautiful with her hands. Now, with a nine-year-old son and six-year-old daughter who are beginning to learn to stitch themselves, it's a craft Caroline gets to share with the next generation, too.

As her love for needlepoint grew, so did the idea for Kitty's. Caroline saw an opportunity to create a needlepoint experience that felt fresh, inspiring, and reflective of the way a new generation of stitchers was discovering the craft.

That idea became Kitty's Needlepoint.

Caroline created Kitty's to be the kind of shop she wanted to spend time in: colorful, beautifully curated, a little unexpected, and welcoming whether you've been stitching for twenty years or have never picked up a needle.

At Kitty's, you'll find a curated mix of canvases, fibers, tools, accessories, and all the little things that make stitching even more fun. But Kitty's was always meant to be more than a place to shop. The heart of the store is its community, from classes and stitch nights to collaborations, events, and afternoons spent stitching around the table.

Caroline believes there's something special about making things by hand, especially in a world that moves so quickly. Kitty's is a place to slow down, make something beautiful, meet people you genuinely want to hang out with, and maybe stay a little longer than you planned.

Come stitch with us. ♡
